expert reaction to the news that Emma Walmsley has been appointed CEO of GlaxoSmithKline

It has been announced that the new CEO of GlaxoSmithKline will be Emma Walmsley.

Prof. Jackie Hunter, CEO of Benevolent Bio (formerly Stratified Medical Ltd), said:

“This is really tremendous news and a real boost for women in business in the UK. With only 5 other female leaders in the FSTE 100, it shows there is still a way to go to enable UK companies to really benefit from the total wealth of talented people working in industry in the UK.
