Latest interim results from the REACT-1 study on COVID-19 prevalence across England

This briefing covered the latest interim data from the largest community coronavirus testing programme, REACT.  This batch of data is an interim report from round 15 and includes around 67,000 swab tests carried out across England between 19 and 29 October 2021.  The study gives an estimate of R and prevalence broken down by age and region. It also details findings from sequencing.

Please note this data is a preprint, so it is early work that has not yet been through peer-review and is not published in a journal.

Speakers included:

Prof Paul Elliott, FMedSci, Director of the REACT programme, and Chair in Epidemiology and Public Health Medicine, Imperial College London

Prof Helen Ward, Professor of Public Health, Imperial College London

Prof Graham Cooke, Professor of Infectious Diseases, Imperial College London
