Last week we heard from the REACT-1 scientists with interim results from their latest set of data – this week they will have the full set of data in for this iteration of the study. This batch of data now includes swab tests carried out on over 170,000 people across England between 18 September and 5 October 2020. The study will give an estimate of prevalence of COVID-19 and of R, and has data on different age groups and regions of England. Please note this data will be a preprint, so it is early work that has not yet been through peer-review and is not published in a journal.
Speakers will include:
Prof Paul Elliott, FMedSci, Director of the REACT programme, and Chair in Epidemiology and Public Health Medicine, Imperial College London
Prof Steven Riley, Professor of Infectious Disease Dynamics, Imperial College London
