The SMC was asked to run a briefing for science, health and tech journalists about the NHS Test and Trace Service which will shortly be launching to contain coronavirus outbreaks and stop the spread of the virus. The experts on the panel have led the development of the service and contact tracing work and can explain how dedicated contact tracing staff, public health experts and digital technology, will work to advise those at heightened risk of having been exposed to the virus on the steps they need to take.
