A new study from the ISARIC 4C and UK Coronavirus Immunology Consortium teams, published this afternoon, looks at the key biological factors that characterise and distinguish severe and fatal COVID-19.
The panel were able to discuss the global reach of ISARIC 4C and the importance of preparedness in a pandemic.
Journalists dialled in to hear the study investigators present their results and answer any questions.
