Multiorgan abnormalities on MRI scans from patients hospitalised with COVID-19 (C-MORE/PHOSP study)

The C-MORE (Capturing the MultiORgan Effects of COVID-19) ) and PHOSP study (Post-hospitalisation COVID-19) groups will present their findings of their latest study at an SMC briefing. Publishing in The Lancet Respiratory Medicine, researchers have looked at multiorgan MRI scans of individuals who were previously hospitalised with COVID-19 and compared them to controls who had no evidence of prior infection. They report on differences in the burden of organ abnormalities between the two groups.
