latest results from the REACT-1 study on COVID-19 prevalence across England

The REACT-1 team from Imperial College London has now completed round 11 of their study looking at virus prevalence across England.

This batch of data includes 127,408 swab tests carried out across England between 15 April and 3 May 2021.  The study gives an estimate of prevalence of COVID-19 and of R, and has data on different demographic groups and regions of England.  A small number of positive swab samples also underwent viral genome sequencing.

Please note this data is a preprint, so it is early work that has not yet been through peer-review and is not published in a journal.

Speakers included:

Prof Paul Elliott, FMedSci, Director of the REACT programme, and Chair in Epidemiology and Public Health Medicine, Imperial College London

Prof Steven Riley, Professor of Infectious Disease Dynamics, Imperial College London
