A new preprint on a University of Birmingham-led study supported by the UK Coronavirus Immunology Consortium looks at the T-cell and antibody responses in people over 80 years of age after both doses of the Pfizer vaccine. The study also looks at the ability of post-vaccination sera to neutralise both the original Wuhan virus and the Brazilian P.1 variant of concern.
Please note this data is a preprint, so it is early work that has not yet been through peer-review and is not published in a journal.
Journalists dialled to this briefing in to hear the study investigators present their results and answer any questions.
