New research provided insight into attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and genetics.
Philip Asherson, Professor of Molecular Psychiatry, MRC Social Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry Centre Institute of Psychiatry King’s College London, said:
“This is an important finding that confirms that rare copy number variants do indeed play a role in the aetiology of ADHD. It is not clear that this will yet lead to a diagnostic test, but may well open up new avenues for understanding the neurobiology of the disorder.”
