With China frequently seen as the world’s leading threat to global climate, the potential for the country to lead the way in tackling climate change often risks being overlooked. One of China’s leading experts on petroleum geology and CO2 storage stopped in at the SMC to present his work to journalists and to discuss the results obtained so far on the Near Zero Emissions Coal in China project (NZEC) to research carbon capture and storage technologies.
