Four neuroscientists working at universities in UK, Europe and USA will be awarded the world’s most valuable prize for brain research. The Brain Prize is awarded by the Lundbeck Foundation in Denmark and is worth more than £1m. Awarded annually, it recognises one or more scientists who have made an outstanding contribution to neuroscience.
Journalists joined the SMC press briefing to meet this year’s new winners, who discussed the importance of their research and gave their reaction to the prize.
The announcement naming the winners was made public at 15.15 UK time on Thursday 4 March 2021.
