The State of the Global Climate 2025 report from the World Meteorological Organisation shows that the Earth’s energy imbalance is at a record level because of the continuing increase in greenhouse gas concentrations. The period 2015-2025 was the warmest 11 years since observations started, ocean heat and acidification are at record levels, and sea level rise and glacier retreat continue. Extreme weather impacted millions and cost billions.
