Close to 1000 researchers in synthetic biology descended on Imperial College London for the 6th international meeting of BIOBRICKS, the synthetic biology meeting. It is the first time the meeting has taken place outside the US and Imperial was asked to host the event as one of the two leading synthetic biology centres in Europe.
The SMC invited some of the leading experts attending to meet with UK journalists on the eve of their meeting to give journalists a preview of their discussions and answer questions about advances in this field.
