pre – ESHRE preview press briefing followed by news conference for first study

This briefing gave journalists the chance to hear a preview of the main studies to be presented at ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) in Lisbon, Portugal from 14^th– 17^th June, with number of experts coming to the SMC:

Prof. Adam Balen, Chair of the British Fertility Society and Professor of Reproductive Medicine & Surgery at Leeds Teaching Hospitals

Dr Sue Avery, Director of the Birmingham Women’s Fertility Centre

Mr Stuart Lavery, Consultant Gynaecologist and Director of IVF Hammersmith at Hammersmith Hospital

Dr Kersti Lundin, Associate Professor of Reproductive Medicine, Sahlgrenska University Hospital

Also at the briefing was an announcement of which is a nationwide analysis of more than 14,000 subjects in Scotland analysing rates of miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy in women with a history of endometriosis. Presenting results was the study’s lead investigator.
